You can delete your Bail account and everything attached to it at any time. There are two ways, and both do exactly the same thing.
From inside Bail
Open Bail, go to Account (or Profile on the web), and choose Delete my account & all data. You will be asked to confirm. This is the fastest route and takes effect immediately.
By email
If you no longer have the app installed, or cannot sign in, email [email protected] from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. This address routes directly to the studio owner. We respond within 30 days, and sooner where the law requires it.
What gets deleted
Your account, your verified phone number, every scheduled call and its history, the call and message events attached to them, and your payment records. Your data is removed from our systems immediately and permanently erased after a 30-day recovery window, during which you can ask us to restore it if you changed your mind.
One-time verification codes are already short-lived and are cleared straight away. Operational logs, which reference your account by ID and never contain your phone number or message text, age out within 365 days.
Where we are legally required to keep a record of a transaction — a payment receipt, for example — we keep only that record and nothing else.
Before you go
If you only want a copy of your data rather than to delete it, use Download my data in the app, or email the same address. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail on what we hold, why, and for how long.
